This makes me feel uneasy, but nostalgic? It reminds me of the song ‘ashes to ashes’ by David Bowie which always reminds me of a hospital for some reason but I’ve always been oddly obsessed with this song.

This artwork makes me feel fragile and alone. The empty, clinical room and the bed feel cold and unwelcoming, as if I’m being forced to face my own vulnerability. The white canopy looks like it’s separating me from the world, and with the “Funeral March” playing, it’s hard not to think about loss and the fragility of life. At the same time, there’s a small sense of hope. The canopy feels like it’s also protecting me, like a safe space to rest and reflect. Even in the darkest moments, there’s a chance to heal and start fresh. It’s a reminder that endings don’t have to be final—they can also lead to something new.

There is more of this hidden than shown, which makes me super curious and I would actually like to know more about this! It is very disturbing (in the good sense)

Impressive installation, also the setting and video makes it. Remarkable. It gives me a sense of death and joke at the same time

How you feel if you don’t talk about it

It makes my think of losing a child and how that child has maybe only ever experienced a hospital bed as a home. I remembered that animals often have The tendency to bond to the first thing they see and that the hospital would be home in that sense cause it is the only thing they know

The circle of life, from the crib to the nursing bed. The handle turns in a circle to the composition of Frederic Chopin - Funeral March. With this work, I came to terms with my father's long ordeal and his death. Also my own stay in hospital, 3 months before completing the artwork for an exhibition.

It's such a perfect combination of q sense of protection and vulnerability. In pain you still can gind hope. In an anesthetized world we can still be conforted by details and symbols.

Birth, disease, rehabilitation, maybe death. It’s a place mentally difficult to be in, very significant, both if you’re the one on the bed or a visitor.

I only truly feel safe when I'm alone, finding the serenity that comes from being able to delve into my inner world without external distractions. It's as if the external clamor dissipates, enabling me to concentrate on what truly holds significance for me. Thus, I feel embraced within my own spaces, with my thoughts taking tangible form

Life is just the lullaby between Birth and death - the most singular events we experience - and the contemplation of death, as of birth, should be a thing of beauty, not ignobility.
