Can a woman be both a victim (prey) and a werewolf (predator), hungry to devour? The most intriguing part is that sometimes we become victims of ourselves by slowly consuming ourselves, leaving no chance for justification or salvation. At the same time, we train ourselves to feel like a helpless lamb, always expecting an attack from anyone. This painting explores the phenomenon of how we can be both ruthless and powerless - towards ourselves as much as towards others.

The darkness taking over my flesh when I lay my head down on the pillow. The immediate reminder of what once infested these same sheets. A shadow of him still lurking over my wounded body.
